Helen Lucille Sawyer Easler, 87, of Spartanburg, died Friday, June 10, 2011, at her home. Born July 2, 1923, in Greer, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Patton and Daisy Beulah McElrath Sawyer. Helen was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years, Herbert Rupert Easler; two daughters, Cheryl Rollins of Cowpens, and Charlotte Blalock (Rick) of Chesnee; three sons, Kenny Easler (Rita) of Chesnee, Allen Easler (Tina) of Spartanburg, and Randy Easler (Jan Seay) of Spartanburg; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Betty Oglesby of Cowpens; a brother, C. P. Sawyer, Jr. of Spartanburg; and a daughter-in-law, Carol Easler of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by a son, Erwin Easler; three sisters; and a son-in-law, Jerry Rollins. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, June 13, 2011, in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, by the Rev. Fred Quidley, the Rev. Gene Burgess, and Chaplain Dean Cortese. The family is at the home of Rupe Easler, 445 Rupe Easler Drive, Spartanburg, SC.
