Helen Brittain

Helen Brown Brittain, affectionally known as Dranny, was called home to be with Jesus on Friday, September 30, 2016. She died at her home. Born December 28, 1938 in Spartanburg, SC, and was the daughter of the late J. Ralph and Ruth Clark Brown. She was the widow of Douglas Ray Brittain. Helen was a member of First Baptist of Spartanburg, but was attending Five Forks Baptist Church of Simpsonville, SC. She was C. Dan Joyner's 13th realtor who practiced real state in Greenville for over 15 years. Survivors include daughters, Lisa Bass (Allen) of Simpsonville, SC; Janice B. Beeler (Michael) of Greenville, SC; son, William Douglas Brittain of Simpsonville, SC; three grandchildren, Brittan Bass, of Simpsonville, SC; Rebecca LaPoint (David) of West Branch, MI; John Michael Beeler of Greenville, SC; two great grandchildren, Bentley LaPoint and Ethan LaPoint; and a sister, Betty Lynn Bull (Mike) of Dillon, CO; and special friend, Ernest Greene of Simpsonville, SC. Visitation will be 12:30 - 1:45 PM Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Howard Foster and Mr. Brittain Bass. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
