Helen Blackwell

Helen Frances Phillips Blackwell, 96, of Boiling Springs, SC died Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Wesley Court Assisted Living Community. Born August 3, 1924 in Phoenix City, AL to the late Oscar L. and Grace Starnes Phillips and she was the wife of the late L. C. Blackwell. A 1944 graduate of Spartanburg High School, Mrs. Blackwell was a retired machine operator with Toledo Scales. She was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Gay Burns of Boiling Springs, SC, Gloria Walton (Boyd) of Spartanburg, SC and Kathy Logan (Robin) of Cross Hill, SC; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brother, Sonny Phillips and sister, Doris Ragsdale. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley Court Assisted Living Community, 916 Wesley Court, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
