Helen Blackburn

Helen Chertok Jennings Blackburn, 86, of Cape Canaveral, FL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. She was born August 22, 1930 in Spartanburg, SC, as the daughter of the late William and Maude Chertok. She married the late Bud Jennings in 1946 and had two children. Later in 1974, she married the late Edgar Blackburn. Most of her life she lived in Florida and enjoyed traveling as well. She liked dancing, metal detecting, and water aerobics. Survivors include her daughter, Mickey Gill of Temple, GA; son, Michael Jennings of Titusville, FL; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Chertok of Concord, NC; and Michael Chertok of Bakersfield, CA. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, September 16, 2016 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Dr. Keith Taylor.
