Hazel Lee Taylor Burns, 89, widow of Billy Joe "Bill" Burns, of Spartanburg, SC, died peacefully at her home on Christmas morning 2016 with her eldest daughter Linda by her side. A native of Drayton, SC, she was born October 28, 1927 to the late Kirk Lee and Mittie Arthur Taylor. Mrs. Burns loved her family and enjoyed vacation times at the beach and Gatlinburg. She was a member of Skylyn United Methodist Church and retired from K-Mart after 25 years of service. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Adams (Glenn) and Kaye Tillotson (Bruce), all of Moore, SC; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Mark J. Burns; and sister, Marinel Farrell. It was Mrs. Burns request that her services be private. In lieu of a formal visitation, the family requests that you visit someone who is sick, elderly, or confined. The blessing will be yours.
