Hazel Brown

Hazel O'Shields Brown, 81, of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at her home. Born August 22, 1928 in Bostic, NC, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Crawford Harrill, Sr. and Eula Mae Brooks Harrill. A retired Registered Nurse with Spartanburg General Hospital, she was a member of Croft Baptist Church and the Joy Club. Survivors include a daughter, Denise Smith and husband Rusty of Spartanburg; a son, Eddie O'Shields of Lyman; four grandsons, Joshua Allen of Lyman, Christopher Allen of Colorado, Randall O'Shields of Reidville, Russell O'Shields of Spartanburg; and two brothers, Boyce Harrill of Bostic, NC, and Ronnie Harrill of Ellenboro, NC. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Special Needs Fund, 120 Heywood Avenue, Suite 300, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or to Croft Baptist Church, 4190 E.
