Hazel Pearline Biggerstaff Adair, 83, of Spartanburg, SC died Thursday, April 14, 2022, at her home. Born September 9, 1938, in Converse, SC, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Dovie Petty Biggerstaff.
Hazel retired from Hoechst Celanese after 25 years and she also worked at Broom High School’s lunchroom for 12 years. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ and sharing Him with others. She loved her family and her many friends. Hazel’s favorite hobby was shopping.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James Robert Adair; daughters, Tina Stapleton (Pete) and Tammy Petree, both of Cowpens; a son, Kevin Adair (Barbara) of Cowpens; grandchildren, Dustin Wood (Becca) of Inman, Matthew Wood of Spartanburg, Will Petree of Cowpens; great grandchildren, James and Charlotte Wood of Inman; so many more family and friends. Hazel was predeceased by her parents and a brother, John Earl Biggerstaff.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 2022, 1:00-1:45 PM at Central Baptist Church, 126 E. Church Street, Cowpens, SC 29330. A Funeral service will be at the church beginning at 2:00PM, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Jason Metcalf. Burial will follow in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery Street, Cowpens, SC 29330.
