Hayden Harold Quesenberry

Hayden “Harold” Quesenberry, a devoted husband, loving father, and esteemed member of his community, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2024, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at the age of 83. He was born on July 13, 1941, in Montgomery County, Virginia to the late Hayden & Marie Quesenberry.

Harold proudly served for four years in the United States Air Force, reflecting his commitment to his country. A true testament to hard work and dedication, Hayden devoted 40 years of his life to WS Gowan Well Drilling Inc, where he skillfully operated as a water well driller. In addition to his dedication to his career Harold was a member of, The Spartanburg Shriners Club, The Royal Order of the Jesters of Greenville, SC and The Water Well Drilling Association.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Harold found joy in various hobbies including golfing, fishing, and raising cows, pursuits that brought him closer to nature and provided him with countless moments of happiness. He balanced his passions with dedication to his family, holding marriage to Sandra "Joyce" Quesenberry as one of his proudest accomplishments, cherishing their 60 years together.

Harold is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; their three daughters, Toni Brock, Anita Quesenberry, and Kelly Johnston (Roger), and; two grandchildren, Baileigh Brock Rushton (Daniel) and Sam Johnston; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew James Rushton and Miller Brock Rushton. Harold was predeceased by his father, Hayden Quesenberry; his mother, Marie Blanchett Quesenberry; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willis and Juanita Gowan; his son-in-law, Mark Brock; four brothers, Hayden Quesenberry, David Quesenberry, Joe Quesenberry, and Ray Quesenberry; and one sister, Michael Thompson.
