Harris Thompson

Harris Randolph Thompson, 91, of Spartanburg, SC died Monday, October 18, 2021 at White Oak North Grove. Born November 24, 1929 in Barrow County, GA, he was the son of the late James Claude and Lucille Bell Jackson Thompson.

A US Marine veteran, Mr. Thompson was retired President of Flowers Bakery Company. He was a member of Tyger River Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his son, Harris “Randy” Randolph Thompson, Jr. (Jackie) of Cartersville, GA, his daughter, Rennea Thompson Dinkel (William) of Charlotte, NC, grandson, Joel Clayton Dinkel (Robyn) of Charlotte, NC, granddaughter, Heather Thompson Pullen (Randy) of Smyrna, GA, great granddaughter, Madeline Grace Pullen and great grandson, Grayson William Dinkel.

A Memorial service with Military Rites will be 12:00 PM Saturday, October 23, 2021 Tyger River Presbyterian Church, 5961 Reidville Road, Moore, SC 29369, conducted by The Rev. Hudson Neely. Private burial will be held at a later date in Westwood Memorial Gardens, 6101 Reidville Road, Moore, SC 29369.

The family would like to give special thanks to Jane Smith for her seven years of excellent care to Harris.
