Harriett Thompson

Harriett "Mema" Thompson, 80, of Pacolet, SC, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Landrum, SC. Born December 19, 1933, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Thelma Holt. She was a member of Montgomery Memorial United Methodist Church. Surviving is her beloved husband of 61 years, Bill Thompson; son, Rick Thompson (Tammy); daughter, Beverly Deyton (Mark); grandchildren, Diah and Chad Henderson, Kevin and Christine Thompson, Justin and Carrie Deyton, Tim and Brittney Deyton, and Kaci Deyton; and four great-grandchildren, Ava, Sydni, Jace, and Cadence. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Max Holt. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 PM Friday, October 3, 2014, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Tina Thomas. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
