Harold Waddell

Harold Franklin Waddell, 76, of Chesnee, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Magnolia Manor-Inman. Born May 4, 1936, in Spartanburg, he was the husband of the late Barbara Thrift Waddell, and son of the late Horace Franklin and Eleanor Dorman Waddell. A veteran of the U. S. Army, Mr. Waddell was also a member of Mayo First Baptist Church, a former deacon, and textile manager. Survivors include his son, Mark Waddell of Cowpens, SC; daughters, Barbara Gipson of Chesnee, SC, and Debbie Horne of Spartanburg, SC; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Mike Waddell of Charlotte, NC; sister, Brenda Moore of Moore, SC; and special friend, Joyce Swofford of Spartanburg, SC. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, May 18, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service, with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team, will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 19, 2012, in Springhill Memorial Gardens, Chesnee, SC, by the Rev. Daryl B.
