Harold Stroup

Harold W. Stroup, son of the late Arthur E. Stroupe and Effie Compton Stroupe Shafer , died Monday, April 19, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Stroup was a former employee of Bode Corporation, a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and recipient of the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife Margaret P. Stroup; a sister, Myrtle Boiter Baugh of Bradenton, FL; and a brother, Lewis Stroupe of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by his daughter, Judy Elder, four brothers, and three sisters. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Cash. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harold W.
