Harold Eugene Pilkington

Harold Eugene Pilkington, 86, passed away in Boiling Springs, SC on December 28, 2023, lovingly known "Papa", he touched the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Born on June 1, 1937, in Spartanburg, SC, to the late, Octavas R. Pilkington and Juanita Hilton Petit.

Harold's generosity were evident to all who crossed his path. He possessed a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off his back if they were in need.  Harold lived a remarkable life filled with love, compassion, and selflessness.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Dawn Parton (Mike) of Boiling Springs, SC.  Grandsons, Adam Parton (Karyn) of Boiling Springs, Josh Parton (Kelly) of Boiling Springs, and Kayne Parton (Heather) of Spartanburg; along with great-grandchildren, Denver, Averi, Kamrynn, Emma, Kyla, Lella, Sophia, Joshua, Addy, Miah, Noah, Gabbi, and Anna will forever cherish the memories they shared with their adored Papa.

Harold's brother James "J.C." Pilkington of Florida also survives him and carries forth the bond they shared throughout their lives.

Harold was predeceased by his wife of many years, Ethel Louise Murphy Pilkington; In addition to Ethel's passing, Harold mourned the loss of his great-granddaughter, Rylee, and his brother Ronnie "Kooter" Pilkington.

The loss of Harold Eugene Pilkington will be deeply felt by all who had the honor of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy built on kindness, love, and compassion. May his soul find eternal peace as his loved ones continue to celebrate the life of this extraordinary man.
