Harold Johnson

Harold S. Johnson, 83, of Roebuck, SC, died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Woodruff Manor. Born August 15, 1933 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Jessie Morris and Kathryn Harrelson Johnson. Harold retired from AT&T after 41 years of service. He was a volunteer fireman and charter member of Glenn Springs Pauline Fire Department. A member of Philadelphia Baptist Church, he was also a member of the choir and a former Deacon. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Nancy Elizabeth Stevens Johnson; sons, Wayne Johnson of Pauline, Joel Johnson and his wife, Tammy of Roebuck; grandsons, Jeremy Johnson and his wife, Laura of Pauline, Bennett Johnson and Andrew Johnson, both of Roebuck; granddaughter, Meghan Ezell and her husband, Jake of Spartanburg; and brother, Francis Johnson and his wife, Ella Jane of Pauline. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Buford Johnson and Travis Johnson. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 3119 Hwy. 56, Pauline, SC 29374, conducted by Rev. Dr. Greg Butler, the Rev. Edgar Boles and the Rev. Charles M. Eaton. Burial will be in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will follow the burial in the sanctuary.
