Harold “Charlie” Brown, 64, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Horace Vernon and Dorothy Clayton Brown.
Charlie was a graduate of Kings Mountain High School Class of 1978. He was a supervisor with Pet Dairy, where he was well liked by his employees.
A devout Christian man, Charlie was a member of North Spartanburg Free Will Baptist Church for over 30 years, where he loved to sing.
Charlie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and to his fur babies.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Sandra Brown; his children, Kimberly Sisk (Kelly) of Wellford, SC, Angela Kirkwood (Chad) of Gaffney, and James Golden of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Chris Toney (Faith), Joshua Toney (Kaytie), Zachary Toney, Amber Slaughter (fiancé Demetrius), Bella Kirkwood, C.J. Kirkwood, Noah Taylor, Alivea Kirkwood, Brayden Sisk, Braxton Sisk and Madison Sisk; great grandchildren, Aiden, Conner, Motley, Mason, Grayson, Dexter, and Teagen. Now in the arms of Jesus, he was predeceased by a great grandson, Spencer and his half-brother, Ted Gibson.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 12:45 pm Friday, June 2, 2023, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Sammy Sutton and The Rev. Larry Sneed. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
