Harold Eugene Arrington

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Harold Eugene Arrington, of Chesnee, South Carolina, on February 11, 2025 at the age of 89. Born on May 2, 1935, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Roy Earnest Arrington and Sara Elizabeth Rowland Arrington.

Harold was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather (Papa). He married his beloved wife, Eula, on June 8, 1956, and they shared 67 years of love. He worked for many years at Spartan Mills and enjoyed hobbies like gardening, working on cars and tractors, and home projects. A dedicated member of Sandy Springs First Baptist Church, he found comfort in his faith.

He will be remembered for his loving spirit, strong work ethic, and dedication to his family, as well as the cherished memories he has left behind.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Powell Arrington, daughter, Debra A. Tunstall, his parents and siblings, brothers Leo, Fred, Thomas, and Charles (who died young), and sisters June A. Still, Ruby A. Smoak, and Virginia and Viola Arrington (both died young).

He is survived by his son, Craig Arrington (Denise) of Chesnee; his grandsons, Chase Arrington, Zachary Arrington, and Colt Tunstall, all of Chesnee; and his granddaughter, Casey Tunstall of Melbourne, FL and his cherished puppy Sugar Baby.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Sandy Springs Baptist Church, 382 Sandy Springs Rd. Rutherfordton, N.C. 28139. with Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dustin Drake officiating. Interment will be held following the service in the Sandy Springs First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chase, Zach, Carroll, and Greg Arrington, Scott Inman, Todd Blackwell, and Clint Harris.

Harold will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
