Harling Tucker

Harling Lee Tucker, 87, of Chesnee, died Monday, November 30, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born June 26, 1922, in Union County, SC, he was the son of the late Louis and Fannie Smith Tucker and the husband of the late Eveline Haydock Tucker. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 26 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, the Disabled American Veterans, and a life member of the VFW. Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Lynn Young and her husband Leslie Norman Young of Chesnee; three grandchildren, Robert Young and wife Julie of Hickory, NC, Steven Young and wife Cindy of Spartanburg, and Natalie Hammett and husband Eddie of Fort Leavenworth, KS; three great-grandchildren, Haley, Lauren, and Hunter Hammett; and a sister, Etta Mae Poole of Ridgeland, SC. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
