H. Terry

Henry Nelson Terry, 63, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home after a long illness. Born February 24, 1946, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late James Henry and Lula Mae Boles Terry. He attended Converse College and was an independent insurance agent with H. Terry and Associates in Hartsville, SC, for 30 years. He was a member of Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church. Five years ago he returned to Spartanburg to bravely fight his illness and to be with his loving family. Survivors include his wife, Judy Gowan Terry; two step-daughters, Jada Nadeau, and Deana Tucker and her husband Mark, all of Spartanburg a sister, Sue South and her husband James of Mexico, MO; a granddaughter, Natalie Kate Nadeau, and a grandson, Austin Brooks Tucker, both of Spartanburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Caroline Boles Terry; and a brother, Tommy Terry. A memorial service that is being arranged by the family will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. B. E. Pettit.
