Grover Johnson

Grover Lee Johnson, 83, of Pauline, SC died Friday, January 14, 2011 at his home. Born August 5, 1927 in Marshall, NC, he was the son of the late Carl and Minnie Randall Johnson. He was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann West Johnson: three sons, Michael Johnson of the home, Darrel Johnson of Pauline, and Donnie Johnson of Buffalo; a daughter, Dawn Fortner of Greenville; a brother, Jasper Johnson of Pauline; two sisters, Annie Lou Gore of Pacolet and Nora Lee Johnson of Gastonia, NC; and four grandsons, Kristopher Cox, Dawlton Peters, Ty Peters, and Hunter Johnson. He was predeceased by a sister, Nettie Mae Johnson and four brothers, Joe, James, Robah, and Lonnie Johnson. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Keith Scott and Chaplain Cindy Adair Inman. Visitation will be after the service at the Graveside. The family wishes to thank Drs. Mark Miles and Kim Yee and their staff, as well as Interim Hospice, for their tender care.
