Greg Whisnant Sr.

Hermon Greg Whisnant, Sr., 74 of Spartanburg, died Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He was born October 22, 1946 in Cliffside, NC, a son to Mildred Everhart Whisnant of Spartanburg and the late Hermon D. Whisnant. A graduate of Cecil's Business College, Greg was a retired salesman for General Supplies, Inc., and was the owner of Stitches by Greg Embroidery, Inc. He was a Past President of the Civitan Club of Spartanburg, member of First Baptist Church-Spartanburg and was a former member of Ben Avon Baptist Church where served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was loved by all. Also surviving is his loving wife, Betsy Moore Whisnant; a son, Greg Whisnant, Jr. of Spartanburg; and a brother, Carroll "Sandy" Whisnant (Sue). A private family graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Civitan Club of Spartanburg, PO Box 1461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
