Grazia Calitri

Grazia “Graziella” Cocciardi Calitri, 100, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Born April 1, 1921 in Panni, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Pietro Cocciardi and Carmela Larocca Cocciardi and widow of Vito Calitri.

Mrs. Calitri was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Antonietta C. Zelano of Spartanburg, SC, Carnelina C. Phipps of Rochester, NY; sons, Giuseppe Calitri of Agawam, MA, Pietro Calitri of Beverly, MA, Michael Calitri of Spartanburg, SC and Antonio Calitri of Saluda, NC; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild, and one great-great-grandson to be born soon. She was predeceased by a son, Angelo Calitri.

A Rosary prayer service will be held 6:00 PM with visitation until 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Floyd’s North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 21, 2021 at St. Paul the Apostle Historic Catholic Church conducted by The Rev. David R. Whitman and The Rev. Robert Mahaffey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 161 N. Dean Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
