Granville Elliott

Granville Elliott, 71, of 70 Skyland Drive Extension, Clinton, SC, passed away at his home on February 28, 2011. Born August 9, 1939 in Converse, SC, he was the son of the late J.C. "Jack" Elliott and Irene Thrift Elliott Campbell. He was an instructor of the Laurens County Life Long Learning Center. A lover and collector of music for many years, he was a DJ in shag clubs, a member of the Beach Music DJ Hall of Fame and a member of the Living Legends of the Beach. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force Security Service and a long time member of the Lions Club. Survivors include the love of his life, Judy Byars Elliott; a son Chris of Clinton; and a daughter Dina (Mike) Gerrish of Cowpens; and his best friend, "Joey". Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, Cowpens, SC. Visitation will follow the service.
