Grace Kirby

Grace Linder Kirby, 84, of Cowpens, died Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at her home. Born August 27, 1927, in Cowpens, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Minnie Maynor Linder. She was the last surviving member of the Linder family of thirteen children. Mrs. Kirby was a member of Central Baptist Church, Cowpens, and a former employee of Musgrove Mill in Gaffney. Survivors include her loving husband, Charles Kirby of the home; daughter, Denise McAbee and husband Mike of Moore; sons, Charles A. Kirby of Chesnee, Buck Kirby and wife Myra of Boiling Springs, Mark Kirby and wife Viki of Rutherfordton, NC, and Pete Kirby of Gaffney; eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM, in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, conducted by Pastor Joseph McGaha. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan, SC 29334. The family is at their respective homes.
