Grace Amy Foster, 96, of Spartanburg, SC, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Magnolia Place-Greenville. Born February 18, 1919, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Megary Colsher, and widow of Howard J. Foster. Mrs. Foster was a professional singer from the age of 13. She served in the USO during World War II entertaining troops in Italy. As a wife and mother, she continued to perform in local theater groups; volunteered in hospitals, schools, and churches; and loved to play golf. She enjoyed travel, and valued the years she lived in Australia for her husband's work. Mrs. Foster is survived by her daughter, Dia F. Beltram of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Stacey Prusak (Alan Prusak) of Dunwoody, GA, Kelley Haff (Thomas Haff) of Greenville, SC, and Steven Beltram (Becca Nestler) of Asheville, NC; and seven great-grandchildren, Sydney, Marissa, Sophie, Foster, Thompson, Annabelle, and Leo. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Frank Colsher, Florence Gerth, and Isabelle Taylor. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 309 Fernwood Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Claire Ripley.
