Gloria Zettlemoyer

Gloria Heckle Zettlemoyer, 82, of Cowpens, died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born November 17, 1928, in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of Edmond and Rose Amoral Heckle and wife of the late Fred Carlton Zettlemoyer. Gloria was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and the Cowpens Senior Club. Survivors include her daughter, Rita Lemmons of Cowpens, SC; three sons, Douglas Zettlemoyer and wife Laura of Lake Charles, LA, Jeffrey Zettlemoyer and wife Diane of Denham Springs, LA, and Lee Zettlemoyer and wife Kristin of Taylors, SC; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother and two sisters, John Heckle, Mary Russell, and Rita O'Hara, all of Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by a son, Stephen Zettlemoyer and a brother, Edmond Heckle. Visitation will be 7:00-8:00 PM Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 11:00 AM Friday, May 13, 2011 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, conducted by the Rev. Timothy M. Gahan.
