Gloria Reid

Gloria Belle Stewart Reid, 69, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 18, 1945, in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Leland "Jake" Stewart and Pauline Martin Stewart Newport. A pastor's wife for 45 years, Gloria was a talented singer and musician. She was a godly woman, an extension of her husband's ministry, who was devoted to her Lord and family. She was a member of Fairforest Church of God and retired from Spartanburg Medical Center. Survivors include her loving husband, Rev. Dennis E. Reid; children, Jeff Reid (Genia) of Flowery Branch, GA, Kevin Reid (Kim) of Franklin, TN, Tim Reid of Spartanburg, SC, and Christi R. Pearson (Jason) of Summerville, SC; nine grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Marcia Stewart of Spartanburg. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Mark Reid; and brother, Jerry Stewart. Visitation will be 11:30-12:45 PM Friday, February 27, 2015, at Fairforest Church of God, 2662 Fairforest-Clevedale Rd., Fairforest, SC 29336. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. John Petty, Bishop Thomas Gillum, and the Rev. Richard Martin.
