Glenda Helen Hammond (Hazard), 67, of Cowpens, SC, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 21, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born September 15, 1946, graduated from Milwaukie High School in Milwaukie, OR in 1964, and went on to have a life full of adventure, love, children and grandchildren. Glenda was an active volunteer for the American Red Cross and often shared stories about her adventures out in the middle of the night. In addition to her sons, Russell Hammond (Susan) of Moore, SC and Brian Hammond of Oregon, survivors include granddaughters, Jessica (Daniel), Hope, Kelsey and Sydney; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Kayle, and Madeline; sister, Angie Meres (Larry) of Oregon and Linda Menzies (Eric) and cousins, Gary, Steve, Judy and Nancy of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis and parents, Lou and Dorothy. Services will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Stone Station Baptist Church, 121 Walnut Grove Lane, Roebuck, SC 29376.
