Glenda Erbse Estes, 90, a resident of Windsor House in Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015. Born January 29, 1925, in Marietta, OH, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Stella Oliver Erbse and widow of the Rev. William Haston Estes. A retired secretary with the Dover Baptist Temple, Mrs. Estes, was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg, where she loved singing in the choir. She loved her family and researching genealogy. Most importantly, she loved the Lord and was a pastor's wife for over 50 years. Survivors include her son, William David Estes (Lana) of Bowie, MD; daughters, Becky Taylor (Alan) and Loretta Pangel both of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Jennifer Guthrie, Jocie Estes, Joanna Estes, Jeff Estes, Christi Schwiger, Matt Taylor, Mike Taylor, Mark Pangel, Melinda Carver and Mellonee Carithers; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Erbse (Wanda) of Mansfield, OH; and her canine companion "Daisy". In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert Erbse. Visitation will be from 10:00 - 10:45 AM on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. H. Alan Taylor and the Rev. Mark H. Pangel. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park, Dover, OH at a later date. Memorials may be made to Dover Baptist Temple, 2896 State Rt. 800, Dover, OH 44622. The family is at the home of Becky Taylor.
