Glenda Easler Dudley, 75, of Marietta, ascended into our Lord’s heaven on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. The cherished daughter of the late Angeline White Easler and Glen Astor Easler, Glenda was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on April 17, 1949. Glenda was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School, and the University of South Carolina with a major in Art Education. She and her late husband, Michael Dudley, were happily married soulmates for 45 years and had one son, David Dudley. Glenda kept their comfortable home, worked, and raised David in Lawrenceville, GA where she also retired from the Georgia Transmission Corporation. In her later years, Glenda enjoyed dining out with her friends and family, conversing about the local “tea”, solving a good puzzle, and loving on her sweet cats. Glenda most recently moved to Marietta where she was a member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, David Dudley (Kelly), many extended family and friends, and her two cats.
A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens of Spartanburg at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16th. A Celebration of Life will be held on December 15th in Marietta, GA. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be provided to Maple Avenue United Methodist Church, 63 Maple Avenue NW, Marietta, GA, 30064 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
