Gladys Pass Winters, 94, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at White Oak Estates-Spartanburg. Born November 25, 1921, in Gainesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Ovil and Sallie Seabolt Pass and widow of Clifford Goldman Winters. Mrs. Winters was an avid gardener who enjoyed family gatherings every Sunday. A member of Morningside Baptist Church, she was also a graduate of Robinson's Business School and retired from Lithium Corporation. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia W. Porter of Spartanburg, SC and Rebecca W. Altman of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Elise W. Mills of Lyman, SC, William B. Porter III of Greer, SC, Julia K. Smith of Campobello, SC, and Kathryn P. Hooten of Asheville, NC; great-grandchildren, Christopher Mills, Matthew and Bryson Smith, Emily and Molly Porter; and daughter-in-law, Lisa S. Winters of Lyman, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Clifford G. Winters Jr.; and brothers, Clarence Pass and Clyde Pass. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Friday, July 8, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Chris Kurtz. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
