Gladys Jennings

Gladys "Glad" Cornelia Jennings, 91, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Wesley Court Assisted Living. Born April 22, 1925, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Frank Lee Jennings and Mary Conie Shackleford Jennings. Known as "Happy", Gladys was a photo processor for Jack Rabbit Photo Center. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and former member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include a niece, Dianne Brown (Dennis) of Boiling Springs, SC; great-nieces, Stephanie Coates (Michael) of Boiling Springs, SC, and Danielle Nash (Robert) of Inman, SC; great-great-nieces and nephew, Grace Coates, Brianna Bolling, and Justin Bolling. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Alma J. Brooks; brother, Edward Jennings; and nephew, Bobby Brooks. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 21, 2017, in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Dr. Tom H. Norrell. Visitation will be at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 233 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff at Wesley Court and Spartanburg Regional Hospice. The family is at the home of Dianne and Dennis Brown.
