Gladys Garrett

Gladys Montez Kerr Garrett, 88, of Inman, SC, died Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born February 15, 1934 in Union County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Harris and Louise Strong Kerr.

Gigi graduated from the Mary Black School of Nursing and was retired as a Nurse for Spartanburg Medical Center after serving 40 years of service. She was a member of Jonesville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Garrett Foster (Gary) of Inman, SC, her grandchildren, Kimberly Morris Arledge (Darrell), Adam Warner, Seth Warner, Benjamin Warner, Justin Gardner (Emily), Jacob McGinn, Hayden Arledge, Matthew Graham and Chelsea Wood, one great grandchild, Harper Cynthia Gardner. She was predeceased by two daughters, Denise Garrett Smith and Cynthia Garrett Warner, along with her siblings, Bernice Kerr Blackwell, John Kerr, James Kerr, and Ernest Kerr.

Visitation will be 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Highway 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at the chapel. Burial will follow in Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery, 748 Gaffney Highway, Jonesville, SC 29323.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
