Gladys Foster

Gladys Sizemore Foster, 76, of Cowpens, died Friday, July 31, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Tillman and Vera Brewington Sizemore. She was retired from Phillip Fibers and a member of Glendale Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Cecil Daniel Foster, Sr.; a daughter, Cathy Allen of Glendale; a son, Charles Foster of Paisly, FL; four sisters, Catherine Sizemore of Glendale, Minnie McVay of Ohio, Doris Sanford and Judy Biggerstaff, both of Spartanburg; a brother, Charles Sizemore of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Danny Foster and Jerry Foster; two brothers, David Sizemore and Sonny Sizemore; and a sister, Edna Crowe. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2009, at Glendale Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Johnny Bridges and Mr. Gene Jett. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will follow after the services at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
