Giuseppe "Joseph"

Giuseppe "Joe" Donatelli, 89, of Moore, SC, died Monday, February 25, 2019, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born April 18, 1929, in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Santa Guisti Donatelli. Joe was a loving husband and father. He raised his family with strong ethical values and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Joe loved to explore and his favorite past-times were bowling and golf. The first time he played golf he made a hole-in-one and attained five hole-in-ones during his golfing career. He was self-employed with Donatelli, Inc. and one of his greatest achievements was obtaining his GED at the age of 80. He was also a member of Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Angelina Donatelli; 5 children and their spouses; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his only sister. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:00 noon Friday, March 1, 2019, at Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, 2575 Reidville Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301, by The Rev. Robert L. Brown. Interment will be in M. J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, 140 Inway Dr., Anderson, SC 29621. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Military Order of the Purple Heart Association, General Daniel Morgan Chapter, 218 Wilder Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
