Gertrude Price

Gertrude Elizabeth Dyer Price, 88, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Born June 16, 1923 in Clifton, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Sallie Courtney Dyer and wife of the late Grady B. Price. She was retired from Arcadia Mills, a member of First Baptist Church of Arcadia, and loved music. Surviving are two nieces, Nancy Johnson and Grace Lyles; cousins, Polly Bogan, Deborah Brown, Harold E. Bogan, Jr. and several other cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Gladys C. Smith and Virginia Courtney; and two brothers, Robert Q. Courtney and J. C. Courtney. Mrs. Price was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 Friday, November 18, 2011 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Dean Elliott. Visitation will be after the service at the graveside.
