Gertrud Sachon

Gertrud "Gertie" Becker Sachon, 87, of 4141 Shepard Road, Spartanburg, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, at her home. Born January 28, 1925, in Germany, she was the daughter of Otto and Anna Ollenhauer Becker. In addition to her husband of 62 years, Gert Sachon, survivors include sons, Peter R. Sachon of North Woodstock, CT, and Eric G. Sachon and wife Nancy of Lake Mary, FL; daughter, Maria G. Sachon and husband Michael J. Michel of Apex, NC. Grandchildren are Jessica Leigh Sachon of North Woodstock, CT; Michael Ranier Sachon of Ewa Beach, HI; Danielle Nichole Sachon of Sanford, FL; Ashleigh Nichole Sachon, Ryan Gerard Sachon, and Derek William Sachon, all of Lake Mary, FL; Gabrielle Sachon Michel and Conner Sachon Michel, both of Apex, NC. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 6, 2012, at the Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior, conducted by the Rev. Ted Kalaw, CRM.
