Gerry M. Gaskins

Mrs. Gerry M. Gaskins, age 86, passed away on November 11, 2023, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was born on October 1, 1937, in Florence County, South Carolina to the late, Dallas Dewey Melton and Bertha Helen Hutchinson Melton.

She is survived by her children, Karen Williams of Boiling Springs, SC and Jan Gaskins (Carla) of Spartanburg, SC; her grandchildren, who meant the world to her, Stuart Williams (Mary Amanda) of Irmo, SC, Jason Williams (India) of Boiling Springs, SC; and great-grandchildren, Grayson, Madilynn and Ireland, all held a special place in her heart; also survived by her sisters, Joyce Nan Thomas of Florence, SC and Amelia Carol Lynch of Scranton, SC.

Gerry is predeceased by her husband, Donald C. Gaskins; brothers, Dexter Melton and John Melton.

Graveside Service will be held 12:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.  Service to be conducted by The Rev. Kris Showen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cudd Memorial Baptist Church, 1301 Boiling Springs Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
