Geraldine Simmons

Geraldine Simmons, 65, of Spartanburg, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at her home. Born December 26, 1947, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Dean and Laura Mae Hughes Simmons. She was a private duty home healthcare nursing assistant and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Boyd Sizemore of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Donald Robert Simmons of Reidville, SC, and Leon Franklin Simmons of Wellford, SC; sisters, Rachel Christian of Spartanburg, SC, and Doris Tolly of Ohio; three grandchildren, Jesse Breann Sizemore, Jeffrey Hunter Sizemore and Chelsie Camby; her loyal canine companion, Rooster Simmons; and dear friends, Lynda Hopson of Spartanburg, SC, and Lynne Peace of Mauldin, SC. She was predeceased by a son, Jesse Dean Sizemore. Visitation will be 12:00-12:45 PM Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Chris Simmons and Lynda Hopson delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
