Geraldine Finch

Geraldine Green "Gerry" Finch, 81, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, in Inman, SC. Born December 24, 1931, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Albert Lee Green, Sr. and Louise Putman Green. A graduate of Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing, Gerry retired as a registered nurse and administrator from Pinewood Convalescent Center, Inman Healthcare, and Woodruff Health Care. She was a member of Beaumont United Methodist Church and the Class of Agape. Surviving are her daughters, Debbie Finch Gibson of Pacolet, SC, and Susan Finch Raines (Steve) of Spartanburg, SC; grandson, Jason Gibson; great-granddaughter, Jayley Gibson of Taylors, SC; brother, Albert Lee Green, Jr. (JoAnne) of Spartanburg, SC; and nephews and nieces, Randy Green, Ray Green, and Amy Mullins. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC, by the Rev. Jane D. Jenkins and the Rev. F. Edward Traxler, Jr. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaumont United Methodist Church, 687 North Liberty Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Steve & Susan Finch Raines.
