Gerald Ray Bailey, 72, of Boiling Springs, SC died Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born October 26, 1948 in Woodruff, SC, he was the son of the late Frank Trenean and Fannie Lee Allgood Bailey.

Mr. Bailey was employed at Michelin Manufacturing and a member of Crossway Church. He loved baseball, traveling and the children at church loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Myrtle Suttles Bailey; daughter, Melissa Bailey of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Doyle Bailey of Laurens, SC, Donald Bailey (Dena) and Stephen Bailey (Chris) all of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Joan Hawkins (Dickey) of Lake Greenwood, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Ruby, Toni and Betty, and brothers, Floyd and Frank.

Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 28307, with funeral services following at 2:30 PM in the Chapel conducted by The Rev. Kevin Smith. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossway Church, PO Box 219, Arcadia, SC 29320.
