Gerald Frady, Sr.

Gerald Douglas Frady, Sr., 78, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 18, 1943 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Thomas Floyd and Mildred Gowens Frady.

Gerald was a longtime employee of Fluor Daniel Construction and later worked with Mary Black Memorial Hospital. He was a Mason and former Boy Scout. He loved racing, trains, airplane and playing guitars.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Gaye Dawn Moore Frady of the home; his daughter, Joy Angela Frady Arce (Rick) of Fort Worth, TX; his son, Gerald Douglas Frady, Jr. of Shelby, NC; five grandchildren, Brandy, Amber, Adrianna, Arron, and Alaina; four great grandchildren, Garrett, Gavin, Grayson and Siena. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Ellen, Kenneth, Linda and Thomas.

A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 2817 E. Main Street Ext., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Keith Davis. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church, 2817 E. Main Street Ext., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
