Georgia Sutton

Georgia Sutton, age 97, passed peacefully Tuesday morning March 10, 2015 at the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow MA. She was the loving wife of the late George W. Sutton, who predeceased her in 1999. Born August 2, 1917, in Virginia and raised in South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Grace Robinette Bowen and Enoch Smith Bowen. Georgia lived a long and extraordinary life living for a time in Pacolet Mills, SC; Omaha, NE; Paris, France; Oslo, Norway; Westover AFB; and Longmeadow, MA. She enjoyed traveling and shopping with her daughter. Her favorite places, besides Longmeadow, were Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA, Orlando, FL, and Honolulu, HI. She leaves her daughter, Harriett Kotarski and son-in-law, Dr. John Kotarski of Longmeadow, MA; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Kotarski of Avon, CT, and Vicky Lane and husband Peter of Hingham, MA; seven great- grandchildren, Erica Lane, Wes Lane, Courtney Lane, and Harrison Lane, all of Hingham, MA, Hailey Brown, Hayden Brown, and Hope Brown, all of Avon, CT. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Friday, March 13, 2015, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, by the Rev. Norman L. Band. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, Pacolet, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pacolet Mills Baptist Church, 385 Stone Street, PO Box 660, Pacolet Mills, SC 29373.
