George Robinson, Jr.

George W. Robinson, Jr., 80, formerly of 115 Kelli Court, Pacolet, SC, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born February 17, 1934, in Union, SC, he was the son of the late George Washington Robinson, Sr. and Marie Horne Robinson. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Robinson was a member of Browns Chapel and formerly employed as a textile machinist. Survivors include his daughter, Sherry Donohue of Charlotte, NC; special son, Phillip Alan Parker of Union, SC; grandchildren, Brittany Knox of Union, SC, Corey Tesnar of Duncan, SC, and Dylan Donohue of Charlotte, NC; great-grandchildren, Braden and Madison Knox; brother, John Robinson of Pacolet, SC; and sisters, Margaret Buice of Union, SC, Peggy Sue Dunn of Spartanburg, SC, Gayle Glass and Rachel Lemons, both of Pacolet, SC. He was predeceased by a daughter, Annette Robinson; and a son, Michael Robinson. The family will receive friends 2:00-2:45 PM Monday, April 28, 2014, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Tessnier.
