George Pruitt

George Arden Pruitt, 80, of Spartanburg, SC died Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center - Mary Black Campus. Born September 9, 1942 in Hendersonville, NC, he was the son of the late General Arden and Estelle Howard Pruitt and the husband of the late Gloria Jean Allen Pruitt of 57 years.

George was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He owned and operated G. A. Pruitt Plumbing company.

Survivors include his son, Scottie Pruitt of Spartanburg, SC; his daughter, Angela Stephens (Allan) of Spartanburg, SC; his grandchildren, Heather Stephens and Cole Stephens; a great-granddaughter, Gaddison Grace; brothers, Julian Pruitt of Blue Ridge and Charles Pruitt of Moore; and sister, Evelyn Blake of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Todd Pruitt.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Fairview Baptist Church, 1551 Bryant Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. A funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm at the church, conducted by The Rev. Ty Childers and The Rev. Gary Pruitt. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
