George Peahuff

George Earl "Buck" Peahuff, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 8, 1929, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Owen Glenn Peahuff and Susie Irene Pettit Mize Peahuff. A U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Peahuff was retired from Bausch and Lomb, and was a member of Green Street Baptist Church. Surviving is his sister, Madge Mize York of Spartanburg. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Edward Mize; and a sister, Evelyn "Tincy" Fincher. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, June 17, 2013, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Larry Fleming and the Rev. Thomas Moore. Visitation will follow at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Green Street Baptist Church, 446 Brawley Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
