George Jones

George Russell Jones, 70, of Cowpens, SC, died Thursday, May 3, 2018, at his home. Born April 16, 1948, in Landrum, SC, he was the son of the late Clovis Pender "Pinky" Jones and Clara Mae Edwards Jones. He loved fishing and racing. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Johnson Jones; children, Corey Jones (Kelli), George Jones Jr. (Amy), and Ricky Jones (Crystal), all of Cowpens, SC, Tabbetha Jones (fiancé, Donald Hughes) of Glendale, SC, Patricia Scaggs of Greer, SC, and Daniel Jones of Spartanburg, SC; 15 grandchildren; and brother, James Jones of Mayo, SC. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 PM Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Buddy Robbins. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The family is at the home.
