George Burnett, Jr.

George Wilbur Burnett, Jr., 75, passed away on July 16, 2011. George was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Burnett. He was retired from the City of Spartanburg and was an active member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. George was a volunteer with Christmas in Action, Croft Ruritans and Area 12 Special Olympics. He is survived by his wife, Tina; sons, Dennis, Mike, Kelly, and Rick; daughter Dori Jarecki; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Bishop and Gladys Vaughn. He was predeceased by a brother and three sisters. Visitation will be held at St. Luke United Methodist Church on Monday, July 18, 2011 from 1:30-3:30 PM followed by a 4:00 PM memorial service.
