Genelle Lanford Moore, 90, of Pauline, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Wallace Thomson Hospital in Union. Born September 18, 1919, in Cross Anchor, SC, she was the daughter of the late Paul Webber and Clara Parham Lanford and the wife of 35 years to the late Marvin Morrow Moore. She was a graduate of Cross Anchor High School, a former employee of Carolina Blouse, and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Edwina Mathis of Pauline; a son, Larry Moore of Roebuck; a sister, Ophelia Williams, and a brother, Marshall Lanford, both of Enoree; three granddaughters, Amy Moore, Ashley Moore, and Brittney Mathis; and two grandsons, Ethan and Joshua Mathis. She was predeceased by a son, Charles Edmund; a grandson, Chad Mathis; three sisters, Marguerite Horton, Devue Bailey, and Azilee Lamb; and five brothers, Calvert, Dowins, Paul, Jr., Cebron, and Lloyd Hayes Lanford. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2010, in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Brian P. Harris. The family will receive friends following the service at the Church. The family is at their respective homes.
