Gene Wood

Gene T. Wood, 77, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 11, 2016. Born September 3, 1938, in Cowpens, SC, he was the son of the late Bryant and Nettie Davis Wood and husband of the late Bennie Jean Wood. Mr. Wood proudly served in the U. S. Army National Guard. Survivors include his daughters, Regina Perry, Tammy Wood, and Courtney Wood, all of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren, Summer Perry, Nicholas Sellars, Cameron Jones, and Mickel Jones; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Buddy D. Wood of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two sons, Mark Anthony Wood and Randy Wood. Services are private.
