Gene Crocker

November 11, 1933 — August 8, 2016

Gene Arland Crocker, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, August 8, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born November 13, 1933, he was the son of the late Forrest and Addie Rose McCallister Crocker. Mr. Crocker was a retired Staff Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force having served for 20 years and later retired again from Abbott Laboratories. He enjoyed NASCAR and remodeling. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Shirley Ann Eplee Crocker; son, Kenneth Gene Crocker of Augusta, GA; daughters, Tammy Frazier of Lincolnton, NC and Tonya McDaniel of Spartanburg, SC; six granddaughters; four grandsons; three great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; brother, Ed Crocker of Rock Hill, SC and six nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, a great-granddaughter, brothers Guy and Ray, and sister Wilma. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 12, 2016 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Rusher. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors conducted by the U. S. Air Force, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family is at the home.
